1.7 miles set in the centre of Alstonefield. Emily and Ben will always invite you in with a warm welcome. They have a bar area with open fires and a large casual dining room which caters for all. Large parties are also welcome. In the summer you can sit outside under the Oak trees and watch the village go by. Children friendly and great beer. Good Country fare catering for all tastes.

1.7 miles set in the middle of Wetton. Brian runs this pub and it has a good menu. Its relaxed and friendly but has only a small area for children. The garden is safe for children.

On from Hulme End – left before Hartington – 5/6 miles. Run by Jacqui who is also the chef and known for her culinary skills. Not your normal pie and chips pub but very good and always has a personalised menu. Slightly more expensive than the others.

A good place to find when on a Peak District tour. Well worth it when you do find it! Great selection of home cooked food with a good atmosphere and loads of history to the place.

  The Barrel - Foolow, Near Eyam 17 Miles  

Like the Druid, you’ll need a map to find it, but once your there you’ll be happy. The views are spectacular and you’ll feel as though you’re on top of the world. Great History. The food is great and the locals love it. Lots of choice with a specialised menu.

Callow Hall is 5 miles away and the restaurants are in a beautiful country house within its own grounds. It retains that country house atmosphere and is quite impressive. The menu is extensive and they specialise in English and Continental dishes using homegrown fruit and vegetables. It is quite expensive but worth it for a special occasion.
